OMG
Um.... This thing. Need i say more on this pinnacle of amazing sculpture? This thing is by far one of the coolest concepts and beautiful sculptures that Games Workshops has kicked out lately. I am a big fan of this new 'Finecast' Renaissance that seems to be sweeping the Warhammer scene.

The Long Collage Hiatus
The long days of Studies and Tests are finally over, and now i can finally get back to doing more creative things like... painting Warhammer minis. my first project for this new batch will be the oldschool Pink Horrors i acquired not so long ago. pretty soon my entire Daemons of Chaos army will be spiffed up and fully ready for action.

The Horror that is Pink
i was recently able to aquire two packs of the old metal pink horrors of tzeentch on Ebay, and i am very very pleased. These guys are becoming increasingly rare, and will only get harder to acquire, especially if the rumors of Games Workshops killing off all the Chaos Gods are true. i want to collect as many of the Daemons from the various gods as i can just in case.
In any case, these metal models i just recieved in the mail are everything i was hoping for, in terms of beautiful sculpting. i was slightly surprised at just how small they were in comparison to the new horrors. a bit odd, but i think this just adds to the impressiveness of the fantastic sculpting quality. In game terms, once i have these little dudes painted up, i will be using the plastic Horrors as the main units, and use the metal Beauties as the horrors created by spells like Tzeentch's Firestorm and the like. since i have two boxes, five will probably be put on display somewhere while the other five are used in actual games.

Grave Guard Update
Here are some pics of the most detailed of the Grave Guard. for the bases, which i think are the most unique part, i dipped them in modeling sand, painted it Graveyard Earth, and then washed it in Delvan Mud. i then splashed some Dark Angels Green on it, to give it a graveyard-moss look, like they just crawled out from a horrid graveyard of un-restfull souls. the blades were painted with Folk Art metallic Blue Topaz, which is my favorite Folk Art paint ever. cheap and beautiful.

Grave Guard
I am in the process of painting up a unit of the Vampire Count's Grave Guard for display at one of the local Gameshops. the nice folks at Gamer's Haunt in Weaverville told me that i could put up a display in one of their glass displays, so after i get these Grave Guards painted up all pretty i'll run by there and see if i can display them for local buyers to see first hand.
so far they have a nice, classic bone-on-red color scheme, with copious amounts of Delvan Mud, which is by far my favorite wash of all time. if you have something and need some depth, add the Mud. if you have some skeletons and you want them to look dirty and rotted, fresh from the grave, add the Mud. if you want some Ogre's armor to look rusty and caked with past meals, ADD THE MUD. LOTS AND LOTS OF MUD.

Pale Knight Bloodletter
this is my first take on this White-Demon Bloodletter idea. it needs a little smoothing, but i think it looks nice and horrifying so far. i'm going to try and make the next prototype a little paler and see how that looks. The winner gets to set the scheme for the rest of the unit. i want to make an 8-Daemon unit of these 'Pale Knights' to use as a strike force on the table-top.
I took most of my inspiration for this scheme from the Rake of the Slender Man mythos and the rest of the pale or white skinny demons that always show up on those "real" paranormal videos and images online.

Possible Slaanesh Agents
So, this idea just popped into my head. Agents and Chosen warriors or Daemons of Slaanesh are supposed to be these beautiful but androgynous beings, attractive to both men and female, but neither male, nor female, with very seductive powers, able to manipulate the masses by their charm and hypnotize their enemies with macabre song and dance that are neither beautiful nor despicable. Does this sound like Lady Gaga to anyone else? i think she might be a pop-icon Slaaneshi Cultist.
